Specialized Medicine!! This has been the thrust in the medical arena for the past several years. Although it has been great in some respects, it has also introduced the thinking that all problems with our bodies should be treated separately. However, the body is a "whole", each system depending upon the various other systems. The main system, working with all the others, is the Circulatory System. If the circulation to one part of the body is restricted, for whatever reason, that part of the body suffers. When one part of the body suffers, the whole body suffers. "The life of the body is the blood there of."
When the engineers designed the Neuro Care™ 1000, they realized that neuromuscular stimulators of the past were approaching the right theory. Electronic stimulation has been used for relieving suffering as far back as Socrates, when he treated arthritis with electric eels. This seems like a bazaar treatment, however, the electrical stimulus generated increased circulation to the site afflicted by the arthritis, thus relieving the inflammation (swelling), and increasing range of motion. However, it was not very pleasant for the patient and the therapy was not widely accepted. Other scientists and medical individuals have experimented with electrical stimulus with moderate results, however they could not achieve deep enough muscle contraction to receive the circulatory hemodynamics and re-education without discomfort to the patient.
Our engineers worked on this aspect and the Neuro Care™ 1000 was "born". After seven years of preparation and usage in association with the industrial/occupational groups, they found that this modality truly "had it all". Deep muscle contraction, muscle re-education, muscle strengthening, and with patient compliance; SUCCESS!!
The true fruition of these studies using the Neuro Care™ 1000 on injured workers, was finding that the body is truly an integrated system. We found by working an injured shoulder, the worker's back was better, or his hand that was hurting stopped hurting. We worked with paraplegics and quadriplegics. While working their abdomen and lower extremities to heal pressure sores, we found that they also experienced renewed bladder function. Again we were seeing the body as a complete entity, all parts and systems working together as an integrated unit. Through this our Treatment Program © was developed.
